About the Founders


Luke Stikeleather and Michael Malagari founded Orthotic Solutions in Fairfax, Virginia in 1997. They opened an additional office in Frederick, Maryland to meet the growing need for orthotic care. They have earned an outstanding reputation and are the provider of choice for many medical professionals in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.



About the Clinicians

Mr. Luke Stikeleather, C.O.

Luke Stikeleather has practiced orthotics for 20 years with an emphasis in scoliosis management. He was inducted into the prestigious Scoliosis Research Society in 2006 joining only a few orthotists among many physicians and surgeons. Within the last few years, he has studied with Dr. Manuel Rigo from Barcelona, Spain and follows the principles of his Rigo Chenau brace design. He is the first orthotist trained by Dr. Rigo in the United States. Luke graduated from the Orthotics program at Northwestern University in 1987.

Mr. Michael Malagari, C.O., FAAOP

Michael has practiced orthotics for 20 years and specializes in lower extremity orthotics and sports injury bracing. He works together with his business partner Luke Stikeleather, and their team of other orthotists and technicians for casting, fabricating, fitting and adjusting the braces for patients with scoliosis. In 1987, Mike graduated from the Orthotics program at Northwestern University.

Mrs. Cidny Fox, C.P.O., FAAOP

Cidny graduated from the University of Washington in 1982 with a BS in Prosthetics and Orthotics. She is certified through The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and is a Fellow of AAOP. Cidny has specialized in pediatric orthotics since 1986. She presents workshops for Cascade DAFO Inc. nationwide.

Mr. Steve Pawelczak, C.O.

Steven is an ABC certified Orthotist with over 20 years of experience. Steven specializes in comprehensive scoliosis management, post-surgical trauma orthotic services in addition to geriatric adults and pediatric care.

Mr. Terry Weaver, C.O.

Terry started full-time in the field of orthotics and prosthetics in 1974 after having worked part-time with his father, Cecil F. Weaver, for 5 years. He continued to work with his father and was Vice President of Weaver Orthopedic, Inc. from 1978-1988. When his father retired after 41 years of working in the orthotics and prosthetics field, he became President and continued to be until 2005. He joined Orthotic Solutions at that time.
He has worked in the field for 33 years. He is skilled in fabricating orthotics using metal and plastic. He is an ABC Certified Orthotist and has a broad array of patient-focused experience in orthotics.

Mr. Richard Krosin, C.P., Orthotic Resident

Richard graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Towson University for a Post Baccalaureate following his undergraduate degree. He then went on to attend both the Orthotic and Prosthetic programs at Newington in Connecticut. He is certified in prosthetics and is currently completing his orthotic residency.
